ChatGPT: The "Swiss Army Knife"

The Deep Dive

ChatGPT remains the default for a reason. With the "o1" model series, its reasoning capabilities are top-tier. Canvas has made coding and writing much smoother.

However, for pure coding, many developers (including me) are switching to Claude or Cursor. For pure writing, Claude often feels more human. But for "doing it all" in one tab, ChatGPT is unbeaten.

• Reasoning Models: o1-preview handles complex logic better than almost anything else.
• Ecosystem: Custom GPTs store your preferences.

The Downsides

• "Lazy" Coding: Sometimes gives incomplete code blocks compared to Claude.
• Generic Voice: Writing often sounds like "AI" without heavy prompting.
